Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday announced a tribal university in Mulugu, Telangana.
Addressing a public meeting in poll-bound Telangana’s Mahabubnagar, PM Modi said, “Indian government will establish a central tribal university in Mulugu… It will be named after respectable Adivasi women Sammakka-Sarakka.”

The Central government will spend 900 crores on the proposed varsity, he added.
Telangana is set to go for Assembly elections later this year in November. The PM is visiting different cities in the state as part of the Bhartiya Janta Party’s poll campaign.
The PM also held a road show in Mahbubnagar.
