The accused, Anees, said that Mahesh, who was 42 years old, was bothering his girlfriend, and Mahesh also owed him Rs 9 lakh, which he hadn’t paid. So, on August 28th, when Mahesh took a day off work, he went to some markets in Lajpat Nagar and South Ex. This seemed to make the situation worse.
The police found out that Anees bought some plastic and a shovel, which suggests that he planned to do something bad. In the afternoon, Anees tricked Mahesh into coming to his home in RK Puram Sector 2. Around noon, Anees killed Mahesh with a pipe wrench. After that, Anees quickly rode his bike back to his home in Sonipat, leaving his phone behind to avoid suspicion.
On August 29th, Anees secretly buried Mahesh’s body in a small ditch behind his home and covered it with cement. The police didn’t discover the body until September 2nd.
The police started looking into Mahesh’s disappearance when they realized he was missing. They checked his phone records to see who he knew. During their investigation, they found out about Anees. When they questioned Anees, he admitted to what he did, telling them everything about this terrible crime. A detailed investigation is still underway.
