For the convenience of passengers, Indian Railways will roll out the first version of Vande Bharat sleeper train by March 2024. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai has been working on creating Vande Bharat sleeper train.
ICF also informed that Vande metro train will also be ready by end of 2023 and will be rolled out in January or February of 2024.
Giving out details, BG Mallya, General Manager of Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai said: “We will be launching the sleeper version of Vande Bharat within this financial year. We will also be launching the Vande Metro in this financial year. And we will be launching this train for non-air conditioned passengers, which is called a non-AC push-pull train, which will have 22 coaches and a locomotive at either end. And that launch is going to happen before 31 October.”

“The sleeper version of Vande Bharat will be of 16 coaches – 11 AC three-tier coaches, 4 AC two-tier and 1 first AC,” Mallya informed.
He also assured that the Vande Bharat sleeper train will be “cost effective”.

Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be a significant addition to the Indian Railways, as they will allow passengers to travel long distances on these high-speed trains overnight.
"Vande metro will be ready by end of the current calendar year and launch will be sometime in January or February 2024," he said.
The Vande Bharat metro will be for short-distance travel.
Vande Bharat Express, India's semi-high-speed train, offers its services in all rail-electrified states across India. With 50 operational services, the Vande Bharat Express has revolutionised rail travel, providing state-of-the-art amenities and reducing travel time for passengers.
The first Vande Bharat Express was flagged off on 15 February, 2019, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it runs between New Delhi and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). The train set symbolizes the 'Make-In-India' initiative and showcases India's engineering prowess.
