Bhima Koregaon battle commemoration passes peacefully year after violence at event; 8-10 lakh people attend

A year after caste clashes marred the event to celebrate the anniversary of the Koregaon Bhima battle, eight to 10 lakh people paid tributes amidst a heavy police presence at the memorial here, which has come to be known as a symbol of Dalit pride.
