Panel led by Narendra Modi likely to pick new CBI director today at 6.30 pm, day before ousted chief Alok Verma's tenure ends

The 24 January meeting of the selection committee had remained inconclusive. The meeting, held at the prime minister's official residence, was attended by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge.
