Following BJP’s stupendous win in three Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday credited the collective effort of the party cadre, leaders and ministers for landslide wins in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
Addressing the BJP Parliamentary meeting on Thursday, PM Modi said, “This was not anyone’s personal victory, but a collective victory.”
“Don’t distance me from the public by making me ‘Modi ji’. “I am Modi. Victory in assembly elections is party workers’ win, don’t consider it Modi’s victory,” he said.

PM Modi called on all the BJP MPs and ministers to participate in Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra from 22 December to 25 January.
Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra was launched by PM Modi from Jharkhand’s Khunti on 15 November. Its objective is to deliver the benefits of major government schemes to the people in a time-bound manner and also increase awareness among the public about the government schemes.
Later, giving the details of the meeting, Union Minister and BJP leader Pralhad Joshi said that PM Modi credited the party for increasing its strength by multiple times in Mizoram and Telangana along with Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and MP.
Joshi said PM also gave a call that only four castes exist – women, youth, farmers and the poor, and we have to work for their overall development.

He said the Prime Minister also shared shared an interesting fact today.
“While being in government when the Congress party faced elections 40 times in states, it got success only seven times whereas the BJP got a chance to seek repeat mandate 39 times and got success 22 times,” Joshi quoted PM as saying.

The meeting, the first by BJP during the current Winter Session, comes amid suspense over the selection of Chief Ministers in these three states.
The BJP, which had been battling close to 20 years of incumbency, won a resounding mandate bagging 163 seats in Madhya Pradesh while the Congress finished a distant second at 66 seats.
In Rajasthan, the vote count painted a starkly different picture to what some of the pollsters had predicted, with the BJP poised to form the government, winning 115 seats, and the Congress trailing at 69 seats.
Of the 90 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh, the BJP bagged 54 while the Congress won 35.
The losses for the Congress in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh came as a huge blow for its hopes for 2024 as it is now out of power across a vast swathe of the Hindi heartland.
