Petrol and diesel prices remained both saw a decline on Tuesday. In Delhi, petrol price cost Rs 101.49 a litre which is cheaper by 15 paise while the rate of diesel was at Rs 88.92 per litre again cheaper by 15 paise as well.
In Mumbai, petrol can be bought at Rs 107.52 per litre which is less expensive by 14 paise and diesel costs Rs 96.48 for one litre which is cheaper by 16 paise.
In Chennai, a litre of petrol is priced at Rs 99.20 which is cheaper by 12 paise. On Tuesday, the price of a litre of diesel was at Rs 93.52 which is less costly by 14 paise.
Petrol in Kolkata costs Rs 101.82 per litre which is cheaper by 11 paise while diesel costs Rs 91.98 a litre which is less expensive by 15 paise.
While petrol can be bought at Rs 109.91 in Bhopal which is cheaper by 15 paise and diesel costs Rs 97.72 a litre today, cheaper by 16 paise.
Petrol and diesel prices are revised by the oil marketing companies including Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil and Hindustan Petroleum. The new prices are implemented at 6 am every day. States and cities have different fuel prices because of the value-added taxes, local and freight charges which vary depending on the place.
