CRPF jawans in Kashmir say 'precaution is better than cure'; officers claim round-the-clock deployment helped 'localise' stone-pelting incidents

Thousands of CRPF personnel and other forces have been deployed in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir since 5 August. Purushottam Kumar, an assistant sub-inspector of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), a force placed at the disposal of the CRPF, is posted near downtown Srinagar's Sekidafar area.
