Budget 2019 boost for Indian Railways: Centre allocates record Rs 1.58 lakh crore capital expenditure for sector

Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said the operating ratio for Indian Railways is expected to improve from 98.4 percent in 2017-18 to 96.2 percent in 2018-19 and further to 95 percent in 2019-20.
